Preventing Seasonal Flu

The flu season is upon us, and it's time to protect yourself. Influenza, also known as the "flu", is a serious and highly contagious disease, but prevention is possible. There are three steps the CDC recommends to help protect yourself and others from the flu:

  1. Take time to get a flu vaccine.
  2. Take everyday preventative actions.
  3. Take flu antiviral drugs if your doctor recommends them.

The flu is more dangerous than the common cold for children. The CDC has prepared a flu guide for parentsPDF file.
