Colleagues,

Screening for and prevention of high risk behaviors are a critical part of providing high quality health care for adolescents. Today's newsletter touches on a broad range of health issues relevant to teenagers.

One prevention program, "Warning Signs," a joint project on youth violence between the American Psychological Association and MTV appears to be working. The APA's Practice Directorate has encouraged practitioners to become involved in conducting youth forums on violence prevention. Below is an article on the success of these efforts and information on how to obtain a forum planning kit.
